Jamaican sprint phenomenon Usain Bolt told CNN that he can beat his previous world record in the 100 meter sprint, which he set in Berlin with the astounding time of 9.58 seconds.  The 25-year-old, who many regard as the Michael Jordan of Track & Field, is confident he can become the first man to break 9.4 seconds in London this August.  While talking to a CNN Olympic Contributor, Bolt said, “Everybody has been talking about this 9.4 all season. If it’s possible, I’ll be the one to run 9.4 seconds.”

With the London Olympic Games just a few months away, elite athletes around the world are training hard in preparation for a chance to secure an Olympic bid in their respective sport.  However, one athlete, American open water swimmer Alex Meyer, has already landed a spot on the 2012 United States Olympic Team after placing fourth in the 2011 10K Open Water Swimming World Championships.
